Manual vs AI-Assisted RFP Analysis
Where manual RFP analysis and AI-assisted analysis each fail, and a review sequence that uses both without hiding the source.
Manual RFP analysis and AI-assisted analysis fail in different places. Manual work is slow and traceable when people are careful. Assisted work is fast and untrustworthy when nobody checks the source. A practical workflow uses both, with the machine doing the first list and a person accepting the rows that will be submitted.
Manual baseline
Reviewers highlight PDFs, copy lines into a spreadsheet, and email owners. The strength is judgment. The failure is version drift: two spreadsheets, no stable IDs, and a pricing sheet that never heard about a gap found on Friday.
Assisted sequence
- Upload the package and extract requirements. See the long-RFP sequence.
- Draft the matrix from approved history. See response reuse.
- Human review of every mandatory row, including rows the model marked compliant.
- Gap list and only then effort. See effort and cost.
- Export after review status is accepted, not when the draft first appears.
Example
On a familiar payments RFP, extraction may catch the interface tables a highlighter pass missed, and reuse may propose last year's settlement answer. A reviewer still has to notice that the scheme name changed. The assisted workflow saved the copying. It did not save the judgment. Claiming a percentage of time saved would require a measured before-and-after on your own team, which this page does not have.
Limitations
Do not skip the manual pass on mandatory and security sections. Do not upload a confidential RFP to a public demo. The public site does not run the analysis backend. Book a conversation if you want to see the workspace on demonstration data first.

Frequently asked questions
Should AI replace the manual read of mandatory sections?
No. Use extraction to find rows, then keep a manual pass on mandatory and security language before anyone accepts the draft.
